Studies

• Dr.Khairya graduated with a bachelor degree in medicine and surgery in 1983, while attending the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Moreover, Dr.Khairya is board certified by the Arab Board of Pediatrics from King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1995, followed by a fellowship program in pediatric endocrinology & genetics in 1997, which she successfully completed at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh.

Work Experience

• Between 2005 and 2007, Dr.Khairya served as the director of the continuous medical education administration at the Ministry of Health in Jeddah, where she also concurrently acted as the chairman of the female department and postgraduate training & scholarship administration, while simultaneously maintaining a position as a supervisor at the Saudi pediatric 0association office in the Western Region, Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, Dr.Khairya used to serve as the chairman of the pediatric department at the ministry of health in Al Aziziyah District, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1998 for a year, before being promoted to act as medical director from 1999 to 2005.
