JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assures the working conditions of DSFH medical equipment’s in his domain of specialties and reports to Biomedical
- Engineering Unit Manager on any urgent stage related to Biomedical Equipment.
- Works independently and/or collaboratively with other BME Department members according to the job requirement, to minimize the down time of the medical equipment in his domain of specialties.
- Suggests to Biomedical Engineering Unit Manager the necessary tools, test equipment as well as service materials required for the medical equipment in his domain of specialties.
- Performs and/or supervises corrective jobs for medical equipment whenever is needed and confirm completion of this task by signed service report from end-user and debrief action taken on the system
- Performs and/or supervises scheduled PPM’s per manufacturer checklist and confirm completion of this task by signed service report from end-user and debrief action taken on the system
- Performs and/or supervises medical equipment installation and dismantling activities after getting necessary permits from the Medical Equipment
- Department Head this includes complete needed documentation for new acceptance & scrap process.
- Controls the work and follow-up the daily request to be distributed to Biomedical Technician and follow-up the action taken for each job order.
- Assists Supply Chain Department in evaluating the medical equipment spare parts offers.
- Assures the environmental and technical specifications fulfillment of the new and existing medical equipment in site.
- Reports to the Biomedical Engineering Unit Manager in monthly basis including execution status of the PPM Plan for medical equipment.
- Responds to urgent incidents and perform immediate actions in coordination with Biomedical Engineering Unit Manager
- Orders missing equipment / spare parts and product catalogues for medical equipment in his domain of specialties and assures keeping them organized.
- Controlling the training needed for DSFH users and do the necessary training of needed.
- Observes and supervises the Biomedical Workshop activities at all times.
- Fulfill and follows the DSFH mission, vision and general values especially duties and responsibilities of Biomedical
- Engineering Unit.
- Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as “the patient is the center of our care”.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Education: University Graduate of Electronics or Biomedical Engineering
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in service and maintenance activities of medical equipment’s in his domain of specialty either in hospital or medical equipment service provider company.
Language: Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Arabic language with good ability to write technical and administrative reports.
Required Licenses: Biomedical Engineering (Saudi Council)
