Description
To manage, maintain, operate and service all electrical related work throughout the hospital sites and other facilities under General Maintenance scope of work. To direct and support the activities of the section’s staff in achieving this in an efficient and effective manner. Enhance and promote electrical safety and emergency response to electrical failures and incidents to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, staff, care givers, and property. To enforce electrical codes, standards, and regulations and other requirements to ensure compliance throughout the organization where applicable. To provide proper guidance to subordinates in regards to their work and to ensure that the codes, standards and regulations are enforced to ensure compliance throughout the physical plant, facilities and the organization, and that their work meets all applicable quality standards including safety.
- JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS:
- Plans, develops and implements planned preventative maintenance in all electrical equipment and systems throughout the Hospital and Facilities, whether on site or offsite.
- Plans and implements all corrective and breakdown maintenance for all electrical equipment and systems throughout the entire physical plant, buildings, the site, and offsite facilities
- Plans, designs and implements improvements and enhancements to electrical equipment and systems, based on codes, standards and regulations to make them safer for patients, staff, care givers, and visitors.
- Supervises and manage the personnel in the sections to perform all the required work in regards to preventative and corrective maintenance and enforces adherence to the codes, standards and regulations as applicable
- Performs inspections and audits of areas throughout the physical plant and facilities of existing equipment and systems as well as current construction project sites to ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations and prepare reports and SNAG lists where applicable
- Will perform project management activities related to equipment and system installations and modifications liaising with consultants, contractors, regulatory bodies, internal stakeholders and others as applicable.
- Responds to emergency situations and equipment or system breakdowns or failures and lead the troubleshooting of faults and other problems and ensure all proper solutions to correct.
- Ensures updates to all As-Built drawings where changes or modifications occur are done promptly and that these drawings are always up to date. Prepares As-Built drawings for equipment and system where none exist, such as single line drawings, etc.
- Review material, spare parts, consumable needs of the sections and ensure requests (orders) are done on time to ensure reliability of equipment and systems
- Ensure that safety practices are implemented and maintained for electrical work and other work and personnel have appropriate personal protective equipment and that staff are trained in safety practices and that they follow them.
- Maintain an accurate reporting system together with detailed equipment data and work history on all equipment and systems in the physical plant and facilities. These must be available at all times for future inspection or audit.
- Will perform daily rounds of the physical plant, electrical rooms and other areas to check on the status of equipment and systems and complete reports, documenting the rounds.
- Ensure that PPM tasks are done and up to date and that PPM worksheets are completed, reviewed, and closed out. Will report instances when PPM not done
- Ensure that corrective and break down repair are done promptly and that any delays are promptly reported to the Facility Management and Safety Director
- Maintain proper tools and equipment for his team and himself to ensure that the work can be done efficiently and effectively.
- Follow the instructions and to provide proper and correct feedback to the General Maintenance Manager.
- Participate in meetings and committees as required and work on teams when required.
- Conduct meetings within his respective sections and to document and record the meetings, which must include all issues pertaining to his areas, and systems and equipment. Copies of minutes to be sent to the General Maintenance Manager.
- Supervise and manage the personnel in the Electrical Unit and ensure that performance is in alignment with expected results and DSFHC policies and procedures.
- Set and implement goals and objectives to achieve in order to achieve maximum reliability of operation of equipment and to achieve reduced failures or breakdowns in equipment and systems.
- Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as “the patient is the center of our care”.

- Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines.
- Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration
- Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 year with handling team as a Supervisor or Manager.
- Fluency in written and spoken English & Arabic.
- Licensed Engineer in K.S.A or home country if expatriate and Saudi Council of Engineers Certificate
