Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diligently completes assigned responsibilities, while functioning within established hospital, division and EMS guidelines, standards and directives,
under the immediate supervision of the EMS Station Supervisor. - Accountable for providing high quality patient care, both pre-hospital and in-hospital, based on a competent understanding of the patient / customer needs, within direction of medical oversight i.e. EMS head division and well- established policies, procedures and protocols.
- Provides attentive patient care in a thorough, efficient and cost-effective manner
- Maintains an awareness of the patient's physical, medical, and cultural needs at all times.
- Maintains a working knowledge of current trends in EMS and new developments in the healthcare field.
- Anticipates potential problems and responds to them appropriately.
- Accountable for operating and maintaining EMS vehicles and equipment properly, to avoid damage or breakage.
- Always maintains patient confidentiality.
- Eagerly exercises detailed attention to duty, while efficiently completing obligatory requirements.
- Ensures EMS vehicles, equipment and supplies are in a constant state of readiness.
- Consistently adheres to and implements EMS administrative and Medical Control directives.
- Willingly completes administrative and clinical functions as assigned by the EMS Station Supervisor.
- Actively participates in EMS staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the EMS division Head which are within the post-holder’s qualifications and capabilities
- Consistently attends skills maintenance programs to ensure professional proficiency.
- Maintains professional licensure and required certifications.
- Participates in the development and presentation of educational awareness programs.
- Attempts to improve communications in English / Arabic.
- Assists in the orientation and professional development of other EMS personnel.
- Attends professional development courses and participates in professional research programs.
- Attend all educational activities, in the EMS department.
- Participate in all educational activities by presentation, and participation.
- Provides continuous feedback to improve working environment and patient care.
- Continually strives to deliver a higher level of quality care.
- Utilizes medical supplies properly, to avoid wastage.
- Assists in situational problem solving and in the utilization of limited resources and supplies.
- Anticipates ways to assist other staff members, while encouraging a cohesive teamwork approach in the workplace.
- Works in harmonious partnership with members of the EMS team and other health care professionals.
- Promotes a positive attitude within the EMS team while responding to the needs of fellow team members.
- Always maintains a professional image and proper grooming.
- Punctual, arrives on time for duty, organizes daily tasks and break times efficiently and effectively.
- Assure the Medical and Mechanical Readiness Status.
- Follow Up with the Attendance Status, Scheduling.
- Making Sure of Documentation Completion.
- Overseeing Ambulances Inventory needs, and Orders What’s Needed.
- Monitor compliance to policies and procedures and ensure corrective measures are Applied if policies and procedures are violated.
- Monitor Ambulance teams and relocate upon Operational needs.
- Authorized to issue a Warning Letter against Unobligated Staff.
- Validate Payment Process.
- Receive Ambulance Transfers Calls, and Dispatch, Command Ambulance Teams.
- Solve Transfers Issues During Shift.
- Participates in Departmental data quality, analysis, and KPIs.
- Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients, as “the patient is the center of our care”.

- Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines.
- Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems.

Qualifications
- JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Bachelor in Emergency Medical Services Or Higher Degree.– E
- Experience:
- 3 year experience as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic
- Language:
- Bilinguals (Arabic and English)
- Required Licenses:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) – E & Neonatal resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced life Support (PALS).
- Accredited EMS Licensure from Saudi Commission for health specialties DOT EMS Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS)
