Studies

• After graduating from Zagazig Medical College, Zagazig, in Egypt with a bachelor degree in medicine and surgery in 1984. Dr.Ahmed pursed to earn a masters degree program in ophthalmology from the same university in 1989; afterwards he completed his postgraduate studies and earned a doctoral degree in ophthalmology from the same university in 1996.

Work Experience

• Prior to joining DSFH, Dr.Ahmed started his career as a resident in ophthalmology at Zagaig Hospital in Egypt between 1986 and 1989. Moreover, he is actively involved in teaching and training of medical students and residents as a regular faculty member in ophthalmology at the Zagazig University, climbing the ranks since 1989 from an assistant lecturer to lecturer in 1996, followed by a promotion to an assistant professor in 2001. Nowadays, Dr.Ahmed serves as a professor in ophthalmology at the same university since he was assigned in 2008.
