Dr. Hossam Eldeen Elghetany graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt with a bachelor degree in medicine and surgery in 1984, followed by a masters degree program in cardiology in 1989, which he swimmingly acquired from the Faculty of Medicine at the same University, where he later obtained a doctoral degree in cardiology in 1993.

Work Experience

In 2004, Dr. Hossam Eldeen Elghetany held a position as a part time cardiology consultant at the Sixth of October Insurance Authority Hospital in Cairo, While simultaneously serving as a visiting consultant of Adult & pediatric cardiology at Luxor International Hospital in Luxor, Egypt. Additionally, he served as a part time consultant of Neonatal & pediatric cardiology at El-Talaba Hospital Health Insurance Authority at the same time, before joining DSFH in 2006. Prior to that, Dr. ElGhetany began his astonishing career as a House Officer at the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University in 1985, then as a Resident in Cardiology at the same University in 1986, before moving to the teaching practice as an assistant lecturer of cardiology in 1990, followed by a promotion to a lecturer of cardiology in 1994 and eventually being appointed as an assistant professor of cardiology from 1999 to 2004.Finally, Dr. ElGhetany now serves as a professor of cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine at the same University, since he assumed the position in 2004. In addition, Dr. ElGhetany worked as a consultant of cardiology at the cardiology, cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Department at DSFH in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, between 1994 and 1995.
