Studies:

After graduating from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egyptwith a Bachelor Degree in Medicine and surgery in 1988, Dr. Shalaby pursued a Master program in Ophthalmology at the same university, which he successfully earned in 1993

Simultaneously in the year 2000, he obtained his in Ophthalmology from the same university and received the international Council of Ophthalmology certificate in the basic science Assessment in Ophthalmology including Optics & Refractions from Bern, Switzerland,

Followed by a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Munich University Eye Hospital in Germany from 2000 to 2001

Work Experience:

Previously Dr. Khaled started as a Resident in Ophthalmology at Al-Hussein University Hospital, Cairo, Egypt in 1990 before being energetically involved in mentoring and teaching medical students as an assistant lecturer in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Bab Al-Shariah University Hospital in Cairo in 1993

Then As a Lecturer in Vitreoretinal & Ophthalmology at Al-Azhar University in 2001, promoted to as Assistant Professor in Vitreoretinal & Ophthalmology in 2006 at the same university, were he still continues his role as an educator in Vitreoretinal & Ophthalmology, serving as a professor since he was appointed in the year 2013
