The cardiology departmentat DSFH prides itself for its distinguished team of recognized physicians whoare credited for their contributions in advancing the patient care sector. Ourcardiac care annually helps thousands of heart disease patients enjoy longerand healthier lives through compassionate, safe, and effective services.
Ourcardiology section provides around the clock, seven days a week preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services including assessment and treatment ofvalvular and adult and pediatric congenital heart disease, advanced imagingservices, electrophysiology interventions , cardiac catheterization andangiographic interventions including primary PTCA management of patientspresenting with acute MI; Our Door to balloon in 016 was average of 70 minutes. We also provide advanced imaging services including cardiac magnetic resonance, cardiac computed tomography, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.
The department also hosts outpatient clinics and non-invasive laboratories inaddition to inpatient clinical ward facility of 36 dedicated cardiac beds. Thecardiac intensive care unit contains 11 beds dedicated for cardiac conditionsthat require constant monitoring and care. This section also contains astate-of-the-art diagnostic section with two cardiac catheterizationlaboratories. We also offer cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services to our postMI and post cardiac surgeries patients.

The cardiac electrophysiology unit at DSFH provide highly specialized care in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of patients with heart rhythm disorders. We are a regional private referral center with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cardiac arrhythmias. This is a rapidly expanding unit and recognized as the first private cardiac electrophysiology unit in Saudi Arabia to introduce the computerized 3-Dimensional (3 D) cardiac mapping equipment used to guide the successful ablation and minimize or eliminate the use of x-ray during ablation procedures, and the intravascular ultrasound (ICE) permitting the visualization of structures within the heart to insure success and safety .
We offer a variety of highly specialized approaches to heart-rhythm problems. The procedures may be used to diagnose a heart problem or to treat it. In our state-of-the-art laboratories we successfully treated many patients with wide range of arrhythmias like supraventricular tachycardia, Wolff Parkinson White syndrome, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia , flutter and other abnormal heart rhythms.
We are the first private hospital in the kingdom that treated patients with complex arrhythmias like ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, implanted the smallest leadless pacemaker and left atrial appendage closure device. We offer a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services, including

Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah has achieved a milestone by successfully conducting heart surgery using the state-of-the-artDa Vinci surgical robot. This marks the first time such advanced technology has been employed in the region's private healthcare sector.
Led by Dr. Uthman Al-Uthman, the surgical team carried out a successful Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting on the main artery of an 80-year-old patient—a highly complex procedure that demands utmost precision.
The Da Vinci robotic surgery system, known forits cutting-edge capabilities, features an arm equipped with a camera and other arms connected to surgical instruments. During the procedure, the surgeon controls these robotic arms while seated in front of a control screen linked toa computer near the operating table. This advanced control unit provides the surgeon with an enlarged, high-definition display of the surgical site usingthree-dimensional technology.

The success of this heart surgery at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital signifies a significant leap for private hospitals in the Middle East. By embracing this innovative technology, the hospital aims to mitigate risks and complications associated with conventional surgical procedures, aligning with its steadfast commitment to delivering the highest standards of healthcare and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Thoracic- surgery team at DSFH is dedicated tothe prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the chest. Wecontinue to expand treatment options for patients, utilizing minimally-invasiveprocedures, including Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS). Our surgeonsperform state-of-the-art surgical techniques and cancer therapies, with a majorfocus on research in early diagnosis, better cancer staging, and prediction ofrecurrent disease in lung and esophageal cancer.
A chest wall deformity is a change in the shape of the chest. It may appear as an inward or outward curve and often shows up during childhood or the teenage years
In some cases, it may put pressure on the lungs and heart, leading to:

In CABG — the most common type of heart surgery — the surgeon takes a healthy artery or vein from elsewhere in your body and connects it to supply blood past the blocked coronary artery. The grafted artery or vein bypasses the blocked portion of the coronary artery, creating a new path for blood to flow to the heart muscle. Often, this is done for more than one coronary artery during the same surgery. CABG is sometimes referred to as heart bypass or coronary artery bypass surgery.

One repair option is to insert a catheter through a large blood vessel, guide it to the heart, and inflate and deflate a small balloon at the tip of the catheter to widen a narrow valve.

The device uses electrical pulses to control the heart rhythm when a sensor detects that it is abnormal. An ICD works similarly, but it sends an electric shock to restore a normal rhythm when it detects a dangerous arrhythmia.

Creates a pattern of scar tissue within the upper chambers of the heart to redirect electrical signals along a controlled path to the lower heart chambers. The surgery blocks the stray electrical signals that cause atrial fibrillation — the most common type of serious arrhythmia.

A weak section of the artery or heart wall is replaced with a patch or graft to repair a balloon-like bulge in the artery or wall of the heart muscle.

· A VAD is a mechanical pump that supports heart function and blood flow. A TAH replaces the two lower chambers of the heart

Vascular Surgical team at DSFH provides compassionate, state-of-the-art care for patients across the full range of vascular disorders including peripheral artery disease (PAD), aneurysms, carotid artery disease, hemodialysis access and venous disease. The program also treats less-common disorders including complex thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (involving the upper abdomen and chest) arterial graft infections, arterial blockage to the kidneys or intestines and thoracic outlet syndrome.
